New selections in the library for October:
Gorgeous Wool Appliqué: A Visual Guide to Adding Dimension & Unique Embroidery by Deborah Gale Tirico is full of beautiful wool appliqué designs and projects to embellish. It includes many diagrams for fancy stitches and constructing the projects.
A Common Thread: A Collection of Quilts is a mostly-picture book summarizing forty years of quilts by Gwen Marston – eye-candy and inspiration!
Mixing Quilt Elements: A Modern Look at Color, Style & Design is another great book by Kathy Doughty. She does a beautiful job of mixing familiar blocks and designs into bright colourful new quilt designs.
Sew Organized for the Busy Girl: Tips to Make the Most of Your Time & Space 23 Quick & Clever Sewing Projects You’ll Love by Heidi Staples is a retro-themed book of small, satisfying sewing projects like clutches, a first-aid kit, pillows and travel accessories. I see some Christmas gifts here!
And I know it seems early to think about Christmas, but now is the time to start Christmas projects and gifts! I haven’t found any new Christmas project books to add to the library, but we have many Christmas-themed books:
