Log Cabin Show

About 40 members of the LGQG plus other guild friends and family members, including Susan Germaine’s Girl Guide troupe, visited our show at the West Vancouver Memorial Library and enjoyed the tea reception on Sunday, January 18th.

Everyone was so excited to see the quilts hanging throughout the gallery space in the library main hall and downstairs hall. Many library patrons spoke to us about how lovely the quilts look. The log cabin theme was very well received; it was a great conversation starter as many non-quilters easily recognize this traditional block, while experienced quilters enjoyed seeing the various interpretations of the block.

logcabin1Congratulations to Myra Frampton whose quilt Log Cabin Reno was purchased by the library’s Director to hang in her office. Special thanks to Elizabeth, Paula and Pat for their generous donation of time and energy organizing the reception for us, as well as all of the guild members who volunteered to make treats (there will be plenty delicious leftovers at our January meeting break table!).

The show continues until Monday, March 9. Thank you to all of the guild members who offered their work for this great display.
