We have two new programs this fall: PhDs (aka UFOs) and an Inspiration Challenge. Signup sheets will be available at the monthly meetings.
SEPTEMBER: Panel and Pop-up Shops
For something a little different, we’ve invited three shop owners to tell us about their experiences adapting to retail in the changing world of quilting, and then to field questions from our members. Laura Shaw of Laura’s Fashion Fabrics in White Rock has been in business for almost 40 years, Alanna Volp of the Cedar & Needle Modern Fabric has a pop-up shop in Squamish (in her family florist shop) as well as on Etsy, and Lois Kelly from Campbell River has an Etsy shop, selling batik bags and kits.
Their ‘shops’ will open at 7pm and continue at the break and after the talk. There will be lots to buy, so bring money!
OCTOBER: Stacey Day, Trunk Show “Stacey in Stitches”
