We are delighted to welcome Maureen Wood as our guest speaker at our January meeting. Maureen has been quilting since 2004 and has been a Judy Niemeyer certified instructor for the past 5 years. Maureen travels throughout western Canada doing trunk shows at guilds and teaching at workshops and retreats. Her presentation will include a large selection of stunning Judy Niemeyer design quilts and will provide some insight to the design process and techniques that Judy uses in her patterns.

Judy Neimeyer patterns and kits will be available for sale at the break and following her presentation.

Come to our February meeting and be entertained and amazed by examples of quilter’s work over the past two hundred years. Some curiosities of the collection are a very early Chintz quilt that fits a modern King sized bed, an 1870’s UFO, a cigar flannel quilt and a double wedding ring quilt hand-stitched from Fortrel! To add to the evenings inspiration please bring along antique and vintage quilts from your collection for Show and Tell. Suggestions for buying cleaning and storing quilts will be touched on giving audience interest.
