COPS Day for March is coming quickly … March 10 @ St. Catherine’s Church (1058 Ridgewood Dr.), 9:30-4:30. Judith Pilley has kindly offered to demonstrate her Cathedral Windows quilt work; she will guide you through the creation of a small sampler. Judith writes:
“This is a very old fashioned and traditional design that looks a lot harder that it really is. Piecing of the blocks can be done by assembly line style on your machine and set aside for hand sewing at your leisure. It can become a very portable on the go project for those who love to hand sew.”
If you wish to participate, you’ll need:
- Your sewing machine
- Thread to match your background fabric
- Hand quilting needle and thimble
- 16 7” squares of background fabric – traditionally a muslin
- 24 2” squares of assorted coordinated fabrics for the windows
As always, the price of admission is a sweet or savory dish to share, and $10. See you there!
